Take the time...

Ok, this just made me cry. What a wonderful, wonderful human being. Kansas City's very own Secret Santa - now known to the world as Larry Stewart - is finally revealing himself after years of giving away Christmas "bonuses" to random strangers because he has cancer and worries that this might be the last year he has the opportunity to help people like he does. Go and read the story. You won't be sorry that you took the time to do it, honest.

What an awesome man. If only there could be more like him in the world...

Wow - goes to show that when you think you don't have anything to give, something means a whole lot to someone else. And that karma... I'll be looking for somewhere to volunteer here in Chicago this season.

Wow, what an individual...however, I thought it was pretty cool that it was MORE than just the one man. Seems like he had a LOT of people involved in his 'secret' and they were all for helping.

Huh? You mean the news teams that never show his face? I don't understand...it's just him that gives out the money.

Oh, you mean the Cheifs player he's become friends with? Yeah, more sports guys should give their money to the needy instead of spending it all at Blond on the weekend, IMO.

Just such an amazing man. WHY do the good ones have to be the ones that get cancer???

Because diseases aren't punishment for being bad.

Bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people.

It's a random, chaotic universe and things don't happen "for a reason".

They just happen.

It's how people deal with those random, chaotic events that form reality.

Oh crap! I done went and stayed up past my metaphysical bedtime.

Fuck! I hate it when that happens.

My bad! G'night!
